A woman and a man, drawn by H. Nitschmann

A woman and a man, drawn by H. Nitschmann. The drawings are from his notes from 1870 to 1905. Two figures represent typical nineteenth century clothing. The woman wears a long dress with a wide skirt and a bonnet on her head. She carries a parasol (to use as a sunshade) and a knitting bag. The man wears a navy blue frock coat and pants with a side stripe (characteristic of the official military uniform of an officer), he holds gloves and a stick in his hand.
